The Great Clapper Caper is a Johnny Carson and Jack Webb skit that has reached classic status. Jack Webb does an imitation of a talking corpse while in character as Dragnet‘s Joe Friday. Somehow, they manage to keep straight faces while discussing clappers stolen from a school bell company by a kleptomaniac named Claud Cooper.
