Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle Washington. He had three sisters, his mother’s name was Mary, and his father was William Henry Gates, Jr. Although he was a bright active kid, his attention soon moved from regular academics to the computer center. At 16 he teamed up with friend Paul Allen to build a computer system that monitored traffic on the internet highway. They earned more than $20,000 until customers discovered they were still in high school and business dried up.
